Create a pictograph displaying the different food groups.
Share our ideas about the food groups and justify why there are more of some groups than others.
Our findings/thoughts:
Go and Glow food were the most popular lunch box food in Room One.
Go Food
There was lots of this type of food because:
- It gives us lots of energy.
- It makes us go fast.
- It helps your brain work hard.
- Mum and Dad think we need lots of it.
- Helps us swim better.
- Lets us play every break time.
Glow Food
There was lots of this type of food because:
- It keeps us healthy.
- Makes us run faster.
- Helps us be strong and climb.
Keeps our brain healthy.
Grow Food
There wasn’t too much of this type of food because:
- We had already eaten it at morning tea time.
- We eat meat and things at dinner time not at school.
- Lots of our sandwiches had meat or cheese in them but they were in the Go line.
- Yoghurts are messy and we had eaten them already.
Treat Food
There were quite a few of these types of food because:
- They are yummy.
- Mum and Dad love us so give us treats.
They taste nice.
