Bulls in the Hay Paddock

We are learning to add detail to our writing.
We will know we have done this when we include:
- powerful verbs
- specific nouns
- personal voice.

Have a read of Miss Madison's clever piece of writing and see how many of these things you can spot.

On Monday night, six crossbred bulls rushed into the hay paddock on our farm.
They chomped the hay and stomped it into the ground.
Madison and Ash heard all the noise and sprinted down to Mummy and Daddy’s room.
“Wake up! Wake Up! The bulls are wrecking the hay!” shouted Madison.
Dad woke up.
“What’s happening? Be quiet you two!” yelled Dad.
Mum told Dad what we had said and we hopped into the Suki, pulling our jerseys on as we went.
We sped to the hay paddock, splashing cow poo everywhere.
Dad whizzed around the bulls and chased them out the gate.
Woo hoo! The bulls are back in the bull paddock.
Back to bed we go.
